Current Market Analysis
This post covers my existing market analysis. It looks into an existing product helping me to see the relationship between the album cover music video and magazine advert:
This shows the official trailer of Beyonce's album Lemonade. Lemonade is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Beyoncé. It was released on April 23, 2016, by Parkwood Entertainment and distributed through Columbia Records. My advert however will be a print advert. Despite this from this trailer you can see that they have kept the theme of the music videos going throughout using the advert to sell the album.
Beyonce uses this album in order to address serious issues and issues about her personal life. This is shown through this post showing an image of the album in the middle and all of the relevant themes surrounding it. In relation to Richard Dyer's Utopian Theory this offers the audience a sense of honesty as she is revealing personal information. This makes the audience feel relief as they feel like they are listening to something that matters.
This is an example music video from Beyonce's Lemonade album. This emphasises the overall them of the album which is anger. Overall from the current market analysis i have learnt that all aspects of the production of an album must link together for example the narrative of the music video must also be presented on the album cover.
